Year in Review

The sun is setting on 2022

But before it does, we’d like to tell you a bit about our year at Data Culture.

team"

We are grateful to be celebrating another year of growth and impact at Data Culture. Since its inception Data Culture has continuously evolved to meet ever-changing needs and opportunities in the field of data.

In 2022 we made incredible progress on this front. Our co-founders Gabi Steele and Leah Weiss, launched Preql, a venture-backed company developing a no-code data transformation solution for business users.

We grew our team and impact by seeking out values-aligned projects that address pressing social and environmental issues including voting, addiction recovery, clothing recycling, and LGBTQ+ mental health. We also forged new partnerships with data technology companies that enhance our custom infrastructure offering.

While these achievements are admirable, our greatest source of pride continues to be our amazing team culture and relationships. A heartfelt thank you to our team members, clients, partners, and community members for making all this possible!

Sincerely,

Honoring the memory of
Lucianne Millan

We want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the heartbreaking loss of our friend and collaborator, Lucianne Millan. Lucianne was a singular talent and a beautiful person. She continues to be a part of everything we do.

And continued to support racial equity in the fields of data & design.

DC Studio has partnered with the Parsons Masters in Data Visualization (MSDV) program to bring more voices into the field of data & design. Together we’re delivering data-driven interactive web and mobile microsites for corporate and non-profit clients committed to addressing systemic racism. Proceeds from the initiative support an endowed MSDV scholarship.

Thank you for your continued support. We are so grateful for this growing community!

See you in 2023!
